I got three explosions in a row on the dam at Falcon two weeks ago on this exact bait, rainbow trout pattern. First one I got in, second fish missed, third cast got a bigger one yet then thought she came unbuttoned when actually she was running to me and down. Don't lose these either, usually, but I did that one; pulled hard thinking she'd buried into a tree when actually it was in a rip-rap hole. DANG. It's floating around there somewhere.

Then put the bass pattern one on but the bite stopped, either because the sun had hit the water, or the darker bait was not of interest. Gentleman I was with was so excited about my success he'd order his Punker before the end of the day. Hope he's got a strong rod!

PS, The bass pattern one got me two more threes at Amistad two days later, and lost another on the hit as I took my eye off it.

PPS REWARD if found, it's in semi-perfect shape. Would love to get it back for sentimental reasons, got my first Texas swimbait fish on it.

Here it is at Falcon, the self-portrait required me to hold the bass behind me, making it look a little smaller than it was.

The Baby ShellCrackers are awsome baits where there larger fish feeding on Bream, and the Plunkers are awsome the sweep they make thru the water is like no other topwater on the market.Jermey spent alot of years getting the bait to do just what he wanted and it works. They also make a 5 in. Plunker and thats the one i've been using on Squaw with lots of fish to show for it,the 5's will be avalible in wood at the end of next year until then hust the injections are avalible go to www.blackdogbaits.com to see some of the Plunker action on the Delta fishing for Stripers out there really impressive. Also on Youtube.Fishing the wooden one is a different experience than fishing the injection model the wooden ones are the S-it but they are priceeeee, well worth there price though..

I used to mistakingly call it a 'Plunker' too, just goes so well with Lunker huh? And it does a good job at plunking them out, but it's 'Punker', as in Lunker Punker.

Speaking of the Ca. Delta:

Hell, that's cheap for a good swimbait!

Right JT?

Heck, met Jerry Rago on Sunday at the Anaheim Bass-A-Thon and his newest, and VERY large and real looking 13" 'TOOL' swimbait runs $300! I was happy with seeing it in person and handling it for a few seconds. Talk about a thing of beauty. Some guys toss it on a point and take a nap until they hear the toilet flush, sometimes a half hour later, but have your camera ready is what I hear!

Here are the smaller versions, what beautys huh?:

Haha yep!! I want a 9 inch to throw at a few lakes around here. I know the 3-5 pounders kill that 9 inch bait.. But it takes some practice to be able to work it.
