We are thinking of visiting Belton for first time tomorrow. If anyone is willing to give up some general info, it would be appreciated. Good launch point? What to use to lure those hybrids? General areas or places to look for schools. Thanks!
My wife is always mad at me, so I figured I might as well give her a reason.....I bought a boat.

Temple Lake Park boat ramp is a great ramp, the Hybrids are always around that part of the lake. The gulls have returned back to the lake, so if you see them diving you may want to go see what they have found. The large flat in front of Temple Lake Park swim area is a great place to locate Hybrids, motor out to where the flat drops from 38 to 50+ and look for schools of bait fish and fish below them it the 36 to 38 foot range. My favorite bait is a one ounce jigging spoon in a chrome white scale patter, but most any heavy spoon should do the trick. Good luck

dragmaster, Thanks! after looking at the predicted winds for tomorrow we are going to go small and local. We have talked about making it to Belton for sometime, but now that we want to the winds are not very cooperative. Thanks again.
