I have a Triton TR 196 2007 model with an in dash L322c. I have navionics and boat lanes. A couple weeks ago, I lost all my contour lines but I still have my waypoints. Then, my L322c would power off by itself and turn back on by itself. It did this several times. I tried rebooting and tried taking the chip out and back in but to no avail.

Is it time to trash and get a new one and if so, what are the recommendations out there? I'm talking around the $500 - $700 range. No side imaging - can't afford that. Thanks for any suggestions and your time.

put your navionics chip back in and go to full chart and press menu and go to chart data and select navionics chip and region again. See if your contours line will come back up.

Thanks Jason-
yeah on this model, it is "map data", not chart data. And that does bring it back on, but then after a few minutes, my L322c beeps a few times then goes blank, then off, then on again and I loose everything again. Back to square one. Also yesterday, it didn't pick up my satellite boat speed or the water temp. It had never done that before.

Now my trolling motor LX135 has been getting moister in it all week and I can't read the darn thing until about 11am when it warms up and then, it is really hard. Frustrated to say the least. I have less than 100 hours on my boat yet having all these problems is frustrating.

Thank you very much for your suggestion and time. I do appreciate it.

Sounds like you need to check your battery.Could be a low voltage thing.

Rugby, you will probably need to call them monday and get the units sent in, and you might still be under warranty if your the original owner of the boat, i think thats how it works but, im not sure. There is a OEM boat warranty thing, so many years you are covered..... i'm not sure

Thanks Bernie but I just bought a new battery a month ago and it volt meter shows it seems to be working fine all day.

Motorguide - thanks to you too. I am not the original owner, bought it used with 25hours on it. But you gave me an idea - maybe I can call North Texas Marine where I bought it from. They might be able to help or give me a suggestion.

Thanks to all.

Call Lowrance and tell them your problem and ask them for help.I think they will ask you for ser. no. to see when it was shipped out and if it is in timeline of warrenty they may give you a new one.
