Its time for the 2nd Segment folks! Same rules as the 1st segment.
The second segment will be November 16th thru December 31st. We will also have two categories, the first being the largest fish, based on length, and the second category will be the cumulative total length of an individuals 3 largest fish.
Here are the rules; 1. No entry fee. 2. Be a member of the TFF. 3. Hybrids must be caught from Lake Palestine on a rod & reel, using artificial or live bait. 4. Submit as many legal fish as you wish, but each fish submitted must have a picture of the fish being measured, and a close up picture of the tail on the measuring device. No pictures, no entry. 5. Provide date, time, and type of bait used. (You dont need to provide locations, but you can PM the coordinates to me lol!) 6. The tie breaker for the largest fish category will be the length of the second largest fish submitted by the contestants involved in the tie, continuing down until the tie is broken. 7. The tie breaker for the 3 fish cumulative total category will be the 4th fish submitted by the contestants involved in the tie, continuing down until the tie is broken. 8. Note that multiple entries may be to your benefit!
I will compile the information and keep yall updated as we progress through each segment. Have fun out there guys and gals, and above all, be safe and be courteous while out there chasing the hybrids!

Nice fat fish! Glad to see they are finally putting on some meat!
The 2nd segment started yesterday, the 16th. Your fish if caught Sunday the 14th would have been in the first segment.
A trick for posting pics..... add immediately following the .jpg, just delete the ?t=picture number.
A couple words of advice TFG2, you need to have two pics of the fish (rule #4). However, I can clearly see the total length in your one picture so I would have counted it because there would have been no discrepancy. You might make sure you have two pics on entries into this 2nd segment though just in case... I had to DQ a fish last time and I don't like doing it one bit! Also, measure your fish from the bottom lip closed to the tip of the tail (longest length possible just like the TP&W book indicates). When I zoom in on your picture that fish's bottom lip was probably 1/2" past the end of your rule....1/2" longer can make a difference in the outcome, and unfortunately I wouldn't have given you that extra possible 1/2" because I couldn't have been sure just how much lip was sticking past the end of the rule. Would hate to see some lose the Big Fish portion because they shorted themselves!

Moe - The Leadbetter Legend submitted a 26.25" pig. The 1st Segment thread is still on the forum so you can go look at the picture of it if you want. It was a nice fat fall fish!

23 in ; man that's huge! I wish I could get one that big. It's OK , I can handle rejection. Plenty of bigger ones out there and they should be schooling until it gets really cold. Now I have a mission

Great day on the lake today. Fishing is awesome right now. Caught several small Hybrids and large sandies. Took pictures of the 3 largest fish caught and released. They are just average size for most but at least I can get my 3 on the board and hopefully catch some bigger ones later. All 3 caught on crank bait today near the dam. 20.5", 20", & 21" [img:center] [/img] [img:center] [/img] [img:center] [/img] [img:center] [/img] [img:center] [/img] [img:center] [/img]

from friday, I was looking for a brushpile, and marked fish hugging the bottom. I was holding my crappie rod, so I dropped a slab bandit to the bottom. Instant hookup with a scrappy hybrid. I caught this one deadsticking a Hackberry Hustler,in 19ft, bout 3pm. they are fattening up nicely, this one was short and fat. water temp 63 good luck MO
