I love fly fishing films, but I get tired of the same old repeated lines over and over.
"We are fishing this untapped fishery (at least before we hot spotted it in this film) and we are pioneers in this sport and we sleep in the dirt and cast 10,000,000,000 times before we catch a fish but when we do the clouds part and the fish gods smile because we are so hard core"

I guess at least they dont look like Simms models stuck in a yellow dog fly fishing ad like some films...

Thats funny, cause I didn't get that feeling at all from this one. I am just glad someone is documenting their frusration, so I may feel better about mine while I drink beer on a Friday night. coolio

I was just about to recheck this trailer movie until I see that there's a documentation of fishing frustration. I like fishing films that shows the potential exciting adventure, promises of epic adventure, and all the exciting preparation leading to the actual fishing and then finishing it with great fishing. I want something inspirational. Other's frustration I can certainly do without because I can managed that all on my own, almost all the time. laugh

Watched several, though they can become quite cliche I like fishing videos especially when they show me places, techniques, fish that I don't, won,t or haven't seen yet. Would be nice to see them catch more fish in the vids but hey it ain't my vid.

I actually made it 2:30 minutes into it... trying to figure out if I recognized the guy that kept yammerin...

personally, I could give two sharts about musky fishin, blind casting for a month without catching a fish sounds pretty ghey...

but for the people that area addicted to it, well, I do understand specialization and obsession.

Thats pretty good production quality but I concur about too much dialogue.

I agree. Then I ponder how much raw footage it would take to make an entire movie of fishing action and it's a bit intimidating to think about shooting it all. I guess I'd fill in with some yapping from simple lack of footage.

An alternative would be long stretches of casting.

You can fill in with scenery shots or wildlife footage with good music in the back ground.
Just an idea.
