I recently purchased some rod holders on ebay and I am very impressed. They are extra heavy duty and I know that either my rod will break or the screws holding it down will go before these babies would ever start to give. These things make the attwood holders look like they are made from clothes hangers. The seller provided awesome customer service and really fast shipping. He even included a package of no roll sinkers. His name is Alan and goes by fishbite09 on ebay. Here is a link to some of his current rod holders for sale. http://shop.ebay.com/fishbite09/m.html

These look like driftmaster's. the rail mount alone cost 8.99 or 9.99, when I can find them. Plus the two position driftmaster isqbout 18 each.
Good Deal here.

I am not trying to talk bad about Attwood products, I am just trying to convey the quality of these holders. BTW I bought the two position holders.

That is a good deal on the two position holders. I currently have driftmasters and they cost more than these.

Flying Joe have you used these yet? I recently purchased the two position drift masters and like them.

Just got my boat back last week from the shop. I am going to mount hem this week. So I have not used them yet. But I can't wait to see the rods buckled over in them.

I bought a set of 4 after reading the post. They are very solid rod holders. They do not hold the rod tip higher than the driftmasters. Overall I do not regret purchasing these but if you do not need the mounts I would go with the driftmaster two position.

Hey CT --- Who carries the 2 position Driftmasters? I like Academy, but they don't carry very many holders.

Sorry guys, I haven't put these holders on the boat yet. I have been too busy catching sand bass and having fish frys. Also have been busy with work and vacation with the family. I was also wondering whether to mount these on the carpeted floor or the upper side of the boat. I have a 88 fiberglass basstracker and I am ok with drills holes on this boat. I am not sure if the fiberglass would hold if I hooked a big'un. Thanks guys.
