Has the highway 83 bridge over Ayish Bayou reopened yet?

No. Buddy of mine has camp close to bridge. Told me they are not working on it now because the barge with crane on it is not floating right now because of the low water

I've heard the same thing about the 147 bridge after the Hwy 83 one is done.

I would certainly like to see the 147 bridge worked on, but not being able to use it would add about an hour to my commute from Houston to my place on Harvey Creek. What is the plan, does anyone know? Is it a new bridge where they keep the old one open till the new one is done, or is it bridge work, or what? The harmonic that the 147 bridge creates is almost enough to make you sea sick....

I was told that as soon as the 83 bridge is finished the 147 is next and it would take 3 years to finish. This formation was from one of the broaddus businesses and friend that lives there. Maybe somebody else could find out something else.

Well when they started on the Hwy 83 bridge they waited to long to get the boats back to the back of Ayish Bayou where the bridge is. That cove is super shallow normally anyway and now they just have to wait on water levels to come back up.
