I seem to notice that a big majority of the people that are on the forum are located in central and north texas can anyone explain why that is, maybe it was started or people there fish more that other parts of the state. Just asking not trying to put people in that area down.

Good question. Perhaps we just have more world-class water here to fish??

no I don't think that is it as we have great water in south Texas, I think it was started in the north texas region and Bass Champs was also up north and it is starting to trickle all over the world if you in the south tell you clubs and everyone you know and we can all be on here happy together, this site is great...

There's a few of us here in East Texas too. I've seen posts from Michigan,Minn., Wisconson, Carolina's and a few other states. But I guess North Central Texas is where the most people are.

It is a bonus being in the DFW area with a lot of great lakes a short drive away, and I guess this is where TFF got started? But even if it is the TEXAS fishing forum that hasn't stopped our International fishing brothers from Australia,Germany,England, and even Iraq from contributing.

I think the reson is both. There is more water up around the Dallas area and the forum was started with people from up there. But there are some of us from the south. Not all yankees. (yankee=North of Conroe)

it is because the closer to the bigger cities you get the more internet junkies there are.
sometimes i get sick of the dial up and don't even mess with the internet. so i understand why people out this way wouldnt want to check in on here.
good luck with your fishing.

That is because country folk don't have time to mess around on the internet when they can be fishing. Us metromess citizens don't have enough time to go fishing, so we just cruise the internet.

I miss going to deep East Texas and going fishing...think I will call my cousin and see about going to his pond(about 6 acres) which I am sure has not had any pressure in say 8 years,,,the last time I was there....The cousins do not fish....but I will not take my laptop..

We in the South just spend more time fishing and don't have as much time for the net or those shows on Saturday & Sunday.... I have a friend that lived on Lake Fork for about 1 year and when I would call he would be in the trailer trying to stay warm while we were out on the lakes down here. He would tell me about snow & ice & who knows what else, Thank God I live in South Texas and don't have to put up with much of that....
