How do these guys ever sale a boat? I am/was thinking of replacing my 2002 Ranger and priced some new boats today. How does anyone justify paying that much for a new boat? I priced a new 520 Ranger like my old one-68K, then a new Skeeter with a SHO 250-69K. Carp I have 250 acres and a nice house and thats 30% of what I paid. These boats companies need to get real. Looks like a "new" used boat for me. I can buy a 2 year old 520 for between 30K and 35K. That's an incredible difference for 20 months. Just a rant.

I'm glad that i am not the only one that thinks this way. I was looking around a few weeks ago and just dont see how people afford these new boats today. How high can these prices go before something has to change.
Can a 20-21' boat really cost that much money?

I'm glad I didn't buy the New Triton I was looking at , I had been looking to upgraded to a 21' boat for two years just couldn't bring myself to sign that note , I finally found My 2006 triton tr21x paid less than half of what the new one just like it was going to be plus It came with $7000 worth of electronics on it , I've had it out four times now and I've checked from top to bottom and other than a couple scratches on the bottom from brush which I would have had on it after the first spring its just like new, only has 100 hours on it I don't regret my decision

The truck industry is the same. Similar F-250 cost 15,000 more than they did 10 years ago

If they don't charge $60k they will go out of business. They don't sell many new boats every year.

I payed $10,000.00 less for my first house and thought I could never see daylight. That was back in the 1980's. WOW I will keep my 2000 Champ 203 for now it runs good and has no issues.

If they don't charge $60k they will go out of business. They don't sell many new boats every year. Maybe but if they were closer to 40k they would probably sell more. brings up the reason, why pay 35k when you could buy new for 60k. 60 is just too much

That will really stop and make you weigh.. what you want vs. what you need. I bet you couldn't sell either one of those boats for 50k 6 months after you bought it.

Yeah 60k is just ridiculous. There's no reason a 21 foot bass boat should cost 2.5 times a 17 foot bass boat. They're just charging that much because they know somebody will pay it. It's more profitable for them to sell 2 widgets for $100 apiece than 100 widgets for $2 apiece.
