I have had a SOSpenders for about 4 years, test/change the cartridge about every 12-18 months. Always works, but be ready when it pops. Never had it go off accidently---would probably have to change my pants, but I keep it stored in the garage. Very comfortable, put it on when I leave the dock and remove it when I return to the dock.

I also use SOSpenders. Had them about the same amount of time.

SOSpenders for 3 years now,,, so far no issues. If I get another it will be a Mustang.

SOSpenders Sentinel model (if still made?) and Mustang Hydrostatic model. I keep both in my boat.

I have two of the Mustang models. Don't have to worry about them self-inflating during wet conditions. They are activated by water pressure.

Good Information, will look at the Mustang brand. High cost but how much to replace a life. Thanks

My thoughts exactly. I figured if we were going to wear this type, I would get the best. US Coast Guards uses these.

My wife got me a Mustang HIT vest and I was surprised how comfortable it was to have on. I kept it on all day today and forgot I had it on.
