Hello all, I'm new to the forum. I've recently caught the fishing fever. My HOA that I used to live in had a pond filled with Bass and CatFish. My son and I fished and loved it.

Now I've moved and am looking for a spot to fish again. I'm looking for a place close to home (Little Elm / Frisco) where I can fish from the shores and catch some fish.

My son and girl friend prefer to catch fish in a smaller pond than go out to Lake Lewisville. Any pointers on where to go without giving up your favorite lucky fishing hole.

Hey, first, welcome to the forum.

I live in Frisco as well. I put together this google map to help bank fisherman like us.

DFW Bank Fishing Map

Also sent you a PM with some areas right here in Frisco where you can catch, as well as some of my favorites on Lake Lewisville.

There's a fine line between fishing and sitting on the water looking like a darn fool.

there's a series of flood control ponds @ sunset creek.
from the intersection of 423/sunflower (discount tire)
to the walker lane fire station in LE. lots of good bass/cats
some crappies, but they're dinks. very nice surroundings &
nice picnic spots as well!
welcome to the forum & welcome to Frisco/LE!!!!!

Brian, I used to fish in the pond by the fire station as well as the flood control channels, but there is a new sign that recently was posted... Something to the effect of "for Sunset Point residents only..."

I live in Little Elm, i know the lake pretty well when it comes to bank fishing and i know quite a few ponds to fish at. If yall want to meet up and fish sometime i live 5 minutes away from the fire station pond or i can take yall to the lake and we can catch some bigger fish. Send me a PM if interested

Tannery Lake (in Oak Point) is a great little lake for bank fishing. They have a fishing dock and lots of nice bank fishing areas. They don't allow live bait.

There is good bank access to Lake Lewisville right off of FM423. Look for the gate in between the Lakeview Gas Station (which also sells live bait), and the bridge.

That would be 720 not 423.
