After Thanksgiving i'm taking a trip to go camping on the Yarborough Pass down on North Padre. We will be wade-fishing for Reds and maybe trout. We will be fishing with live bait I think
I'm looking to buy a rod/reel setup for this. I was thinking about a 6'6" or 7' Heavy Action maybe Castaway rod...under $100 for the rod if possible.
For the reel...It should probably be spinning right? I'm hesitant to spend too much on the reel given that it will most likely be dunked in saltwater
Any Advice?

I have an older (silver) Shimano Calcutta 200 that I was considering taking...I have heard good things about these reels in saltwater...

I have some great Daiwa SW4000B spinning reels in stock. They are made for the salt water and I could get you one for $14.95 PM if you want one.
