Well run trail but very top heavy in the payout. Good championship though. We got 4th out of about 75-80 boats and got $400 for 23lbs.

crowslegend, The BLT program pays out according to the following scale; * Division tournaments -- 1 place per 5 entries * Championship tournaments -- 1 place per 10 entries * Youth program (6 to 10 and 11 to 15)-- $10 entry / pays 1 per 3 entries * The BLT program offers $160 and $300 Team Divisions with a $200 entry for the Championship tournaments. $125 entry fee in the Solo Divisions. * 80% of the entry fees are paid back at every tournament * 20% of entry fees are used to cover all expenses of operating the BLT program * 100% of all sponsorships (product and cash) are passed on to the anglers (most of this is used for the Championship prizes)In Championship tournaments, the anglers get the boats on top of the 80% entry fee payouts. * The AOY(s)in all divisions get free entry into the same division next year. * The BLT will have 2 Regions in 2011 with two Team Championships in each Region and a State Championship tournament for all teams that finished in the top 50% of weight ranking in any of the 4 Regional Championships. Three Legend Alpha 191 boats with 200 Merc's and two $10,000 first place prizes will be offered in the five 2011 Team Championships. * The BLT program has received approval for Legend, Bass Cat, Skeeter, Nitro and Triton bonus programs in 2010. We expect to receive this again in 2011. Legend is offering to double the winnings up to $5,000 for any Legend winners with a newer Legend boat. Check out the Legend website for details. Nitro and Triton have already approved 2011 and we are waiting on Skeeter and Bass Cat to renew in 2011. * BLT offers both spring and fall Couples, Solo and Team Divisions. The fall team divisions in 2010 will qualify for 2011 team Championships. The Solo Division in the spring and fall of 2011 will qualify for the 2011 Solo Championship in December of 2011. The BLT staff is working on the Championship prize as we speak and it will be announced soon. * One Big bass place is paid at $10 per entry in each tournament. In the Couples Division, the BLT program pays back $10 per entry for the men's and women's big bass. * The BLT sponsors (Navionics / American Rodsmith) will offer the last place in the money their products and or these items are sometimes given away in drawings.
More details on the BLT website. Thanks for your interest, BLT staff

Thanks for the explanation of your payouts. I wish other circuits would do the same! 80% payback plus the Legend boats at your championships sweet!!!

Jaret Latta, You are right about our first tournament on Rayburn being weighted too heavy on the top. However, we revised our payout in the second tournament and the money was more evenly distributed in the lower places. Check out the BLT ad in the Lakecaster newspaper around Rayburn. We will use the revised payouts from now on if we continue to get positive feed back from the anglers who fish with us.
After you check out our revisions, I would appreciate your thoughts on the changes. Please send a pm to let me know when you have time.
Thanks, BLT staff
