Went to Palestine today for about 2 hours. I fished 6 different piles anywhere from 6ft to 18ft deep and caught one Crappie and two spotted bass. I give!!

They all have been fish-napped before you got there or the weather is causing them locked jaw.

Not the longest one but man that fellow had some shoulders on him.
These fish were not actively feeding.
I dropped the usuall 12' drop, next to submerged timber.
Then the larger fish came on a second drop down to 16'--18' in 20' of water. Basically they were coming out of the root balls.
Texas Toast Slab Bandits did the trick....again.

Mo did good also so I decided I was on the wrong end of the lake (stayed North of 155). Seems some patches of timber are paying off better than the brushpiles. Who knew? hmmm

Seems the fish are moving a lot lately. But I will say this.
A couple of those fish in the picture, said something about seeing a guy throw his crappie combo in the water right beside em not too long ago :-)

No deer yet. This weather has turned into fishing weather not hunting weather.

Of course you can fish that spot, and any other place that you think has fish.
Does this mean I should ask before I fish your spots???

Millman you are more than welcome to fish anything I fish. I can show you some more that I found since we fished together, but I don't recommend them right now. We will get together again soon and share some more spots.

I only know one of Mo's main piles and I flat out love it. I stumbled on it one day while I was fishing near it. My daughter likes it to, she wore me out one day on it. Im ready for the fish to get on it again. I haven't fished it in months.

By the way MO, you know every spot has to have a name. When I was catching lots of fish off of those stumps I named it the "Stump Hole" now your spot is named "Stump Hole Pile" Its across the lake from "FOR SALE SIGN PILE" and catty cornered to "Mexican Pile" which is down the bank from "Burned Pier Pile/Redneck Pier/ Then you have "Millman Stumps" and the always famous "Pepop Bridge" I still have some I need to name. I changed the name of one of Millmans to "Where I kicked my friggin combo over the side pile"

I have one on the west side named " lost rod pile" ,
but thanks to gps accuracy , was able to go back and
find the lost rod.

Maybe I should call it the " lost and found " pile. smile

Don't forget Shadow Stump, Telephone Pole, Triple Stump, and Jug Stump. Then sadly, after gps, #4, #50, and #5. The numbers sure lose something. Well, that's "progress".
