Hello... I am planning a trip to coast in the next few wks. When I leave is flexible depending on when the fishing is hot ! Id like to gather as much info as I can so that I can get to best fishing spot possible. I will be bank fishing and I'm familiar with galveston and port a, i ve just never gone this time of year. I'm prepared to wade or hit up jettiies and etc. If anybody can give me pointers and tell me when the best time togo and where , I'm just looking to have a amazing few days of fightin fish ! I'm driving from dfw

Further south you go, the easier the fishing will get. The weather fronts will have less impact.

That's good advice from Pat.
We are still waiting on the serious part of the winter flounder exodus.

Being boatless bank trash...(that's a joke) it really limits your places to go. Since you know the PA area best, that's where I'd spend my time. November fish are in the same places July fish are in, just more concentrated.
You'll be concentrating on water flow and drains more than flats, but the same areas.
