hey my family owns a house on possum kingdom, and during the summer my family has planned a reunion up there, and i was wondering how good the catfishing is up there? My uncle swears that there are MAN sized....is there any truth behind these storys..lol?

I live about on the brazos river 10 miles from the west side of the lake and fish the lake and river every now and then. If you want any kind of fish then I would target white bass and you should catch all you want. It seems like the effects of golden algea aren't that bad anymore. There are tons of 12-15 inch blues but I haven't caught anything larger than that in the last 3 years. Many fish survived in the hard hit of 2001 by going up the brazos. In 2001 when they were going upstream from the algea we were catching hundreds of nice blues every day but they seem to have vanished after late feb. in 2001.
