What experiences have you had with the BPS reels?

I've bought two and will continue to buy them. I've bought reels from Quantum, Abu Garcia, Diawa and other big name brands and I like the Johnny Morris better than all of them.

I love the johnny morris reals. I have six of the new johnny morris signature reels and they all work great for the price. I have three 7.1, one 5.4, and two 6.3. I have one from '02 that is still going strong, it has been to Canada with me many times and has pulled out plenty of Pike and Musky without a flinch.

Hate to be the one negative post on Johnny Morris reels, but I just returned mine today. It's been one of the worst reels I've ever owned. Maybe I just got a bad one in the bunch? I exchanged it and paid more for a Abu Garcia Revo SX.
Nate Tight lines!

I got a Johnny Morris elite 7:1 early this year and when I made that switch, my numbers of fish have vastly improved. I can fish in the wind and not nest like I used to. It is very smooth and I have added a Johnny Morris Gold in the same 7:1, both on Falcon rods. Both are extremely smooth reels. Can't go wrong with one.
My wife is always mad at me, so I figured I might as well give her a reason.....I bought a boat.

I've done the research. I simply could not pass up the latest BPS deal. I could not believe it when I learned the Johnny Morris GOLD was being offered for $129.99! The features, and the quality of this unit are remarkable. Also, the Carbonlite at $119.98 is a good deal, especially in the Carbolite Combo, for $169.99.
Need to improve my LMB fishing, running out of time.

The JMX reels used to be the top of the line for BPS, 190.00 ea I believe they went to 129.00 thats when I bought mine, have 4 JMX's,6 Revo sx's,2 Pro Qualifiers. The 4 JMX's are speciality reels, spoon, frogs, etc. Revos are the main reels and the pro qualifiers are my cranking reels. The JMX reels are smooth, nice and I never had a problem, think I saw them somewhere for 99 or 89 bucks which imo is the best deal there is. Although there is one downside for me, in that all these small reels (say vs 4500C) I hate the crank handle, so I change every reel handle to a bigger size, like the ones from BPS. So I suggest to buy either the JMX or the Gold, put it on a Falcon rod and you have you a very nice setup
