I have a Blue Wave Classic 22 with the Yamaha 150 Salt Water and am very happy with it. Top speed is about 43 mph-plenty of power.

They will custom build this boat for very modest price difference. Things I would change:

Have them put the fuel tank in the floor so you can move at least the trolling motor batteries under the console. This also wove the center of gravity down significantly.

Consider having them install the smaller "Special" console to give you an extra six inches of walkway on each side. I catch myself all the time on lures hanging of the rods in the console rod holders.

Have them install a fishfinder transducer inside the hull (not through hull). Very little loss of sensitivity and no hassles with brush etc. when you are fishing shallow. Usually improves high speed fishfinder performance.

If you are going to install a shad tank, I would have them install the smaller console without the console livewell (they already have a mold). I would move the ice chest forward to this location and either use the shad tank as the leaning post (as I see guides doing) or fabricate a combination leaning post/shad tank holder. Alternatively they can rig the console livewell with a recirculating pump and filter so it can serve as a shad tank. Im not too keen on the paper filter set-up they use, but maybe it will work better than I think.

I would delete the carpet fore and aft and have them use the fiberglass paint with anti-skid instead.

I have the extended rear deck and I wouldn't do that again because you lose too much rear floor space that will be sorely missed if you do any trolling.

SBMCruise--
What year model do you have?
Both of my boats have had the fuel tank
below the deck. My trolling batteries are
located under the console. ( this is probalbly done at the dealership).
My transducer is molded into the hull.
This works great, but it locks
you in to using Lowrance. ( You might call
BW, maybe they can use Garmin transducers in
the same way now)
My only problem with my current boat has
been interference between the motor guide
trolling motor and the lowrance unit.
I put a Garmin unit up front and the problem
went away.
Good luck

Mo,

If you order a new BW boat they charge 1,000.00 to put the tank in the floor.

For the interference I have seen some post somewhere on that issue and is usually solved by better grounding.

I was quoted about 500 for the tank in the floor I think.

Mine is a 99 I bought used last spring.
