Just got back 10/23.
Frogs were good in the mornings along the shoreline and shallow water.
Had a little luck wacky rigged in the back of coves, bottem.
Also, had a bit of luck on lizards mid-day.
Never really found a pattern, but checkout Kurt Dove's latest report. The boy knows his stuff!
Good luck!

It has been windy here the last few days but weather forecasters are saying it's gonna slow down a bit. Creek fishiing with spinnerbaits and jerkbaits are productive as well as flipping the hydrilla and thick pondweed. Good Luck!

I just got back Sunday, it's not like it used to be but we still had a good trip. Early in the morning until about 9:00, we did real well on horny toads. Find the main lake points with pond weed and hang on. We never found any big fish, but caught lots of 4-5 pounders. The only color of toad we could get them to hit was white and but it helped to paint some orange on the belly. When they quit hitting the toad, our best bait was a texas rigged sinko in watermelon candy in the same areas. We also did good on isolated trees just outside of the grass. There were some schoolers, but they were all really little fish and not in huge numbers like usual. We also caught quite a few on drop shots in the hydrilla, but they were mostly small fish. We caught some on just about everything we threw, but the toad and sinko were by far the most productive. Our best points were on the TX side west of the 90 bridge. Just start point hopping.
Good luck and let us know how it goes
