Most of you are aware that a T.F.F. member is in a difficult fight right now, and unfortunately it is not with a big fish on the other end of his line. So some of us carp fisherman are wanting to get together on Saturday to see if we can catch a few carp and share the photos with him on the forum. He has raised interest in that type of fishing for so many.

I realize not everyone can go fishing this Saturday, work and family obligations are priority. And I further realize that not everyone lives in the D.F.W. area that would like to participate. So here is what we are asking....

No matter what fish you fish for, if you could snap a photo or two of your next trip and include it on a post we will make after this Saturdays carp fishing trip, I think he would appreciate it.

I know all a person has to do if they want to see fishing pictures or read fishing stories is go to the forum. Thats a big part of the forum to begin with, but I think it would be cool and mayby lift his spirits some to see your photos of your next trip were specifically dedicated to him.

So freshwater, saltwater, crappie, bass or tarpon it does not matter. Just let him know you thought about him on the water were he too would like to be. So keep a camera handy this week when you go. After our get together here in the Fort Worth area, we will make a post dedicated to him by Sunday to add your photos and fish stories.

Thanks folks

Like I said in the other thread Mike, I really appreciate that idea, and I think it's awesome. Keep me updated on where you're all planning to go, and how you do! I hope you guys really tear them up, and I look forward to seeing all the pictures! Even if you blank, pictures of the trip and everyone would be cool.

Danny,

Thats the ticket, it will be appreciated. Like I said, no restrictions on location or type of fish you may catch, he is a fisherman and like most of us enjoys catching fish of all kinds. He enjoys the carp and buffallo a great deal, perhaps more than any other type of fishing in this area, but fish of various types and the differnet stories that will follow will add some variety for us all to enjoy.

Good luck to you and thanks.

i would like to add that starless may fish mostly for carp he is knowledgable on all kinds of fish. i always take time to read his posts because i know they're very informative. the dude needs to be writing for one of our great fishing mags. with that said i'll try to make my way to murrell this saturday. was there friday night and allllll day sauturday. at trail 7. maybe we can take a collection to help starless financially. through his time of need. just a thought!!! i'm sure any little bit will help[ his situation.

Hey Dannyboy keep me updated on that one! Lake Houston is one of my haunts, and I'm wondering where the carp are in there!

Starless though I'm not quite aware of what troubles you, I'll put a general word in to the big guy! I've read a lot of what you have posted regarding carp, it got me so interested that I went out and bought a book two months ago, "Carp on the Fly", and I can't wait to hook up with a carp on my fly rod!

Therefore even if I don't catch a carp next time out(and I never have, so don't count on it) the next big bass/sunfish picture will go up on there for ya!

Good luck and God Bless!

I've cross posted this idea over on the Carp Anglers Group forum down in the South Central section. Hope several folks from both TFF and CAG can participate.(www.carpanglersgroup.com/forum/index.php)

Best wishes to all.

Skeeter - I appreciate the invitation, and will definitely take you up on it when I have the chance! I've never carp fished from a boat before hehe. Pretty remote spot? That's good, less pressure means more aggressive carp, and more chance of hooking a big one who's not so wary.

For those that have photos of fish they have caught and want to share them on the post dedicated to Starless, LoneStar carper has agreed to make the post after he goes fishing on Sunday.

If you want to participate, save your photos and look for LoneStars post in this section of the forum sometime tommorow evening.

Thanks to those that will join this effort to lift a fellow members spirits by reminding him he is being asked to get well so he too can get back on the water.
