You can go 30 East to 205 1/2 mile to 276 all the way into Qunlin. Or you can go 20 East to hwy 47 then north through Willis point. I like the Holiday ramp off of 47 by the spillway.
I have only been once and it was great !

If you've never been on T-wok make sure you have a good lake map. There's tons of submerged timber that can do alot of damage in places you would never suspect. Also many of the points come way out into the water. Just be very careful and enjoy. It's a great lake for whites/stripers/hybrids as well as trophy cats.

You can go either of two routes depending on what area you wan't to reach. I30 to 276 will be the closest by about 20 minutes. There is a public ramp at each end of the 276 bridge. The other route would be 635 then East on 80 to Wills Point where you will head North on 47. Holiday is 8 miles North right off the highway. To get to the state park, you will take a left on 2475 which dead ends at the gate of the park.
The timber runs down the center of the lake, so hug the shorelines anywhere north and west of a line between wolf cove and cedar cove. Give all the points credit, some are pretty shallow. All the water is open and clear from the dam out to about wolf cove.
Most of the timber in the middle has been visable for the past couple months but we have had a lot of rain the past few days and the lake will be rising, so just be aware that there is a lot under the water going North.

I know a lot on here like Holiday but I always put in at the State Park. Nice rest rooms and friendly people. Be careful like Matt said I broke my transducer off my trolling motor Saturday on a shallow point. No I didn't have the depth finder on! I did know it was shallow but not that shallow. I was just trying to get back to the ramp because my big motor died.

Of the five or six striper lakes in Tx, how would you rate Tawakoni?
I've been told Texoma is tops with Whitney second. What's next.?
Thanks

I would say Tawokoni would be better for stripers than Whitney. But lately it has been bad. hard fishing. Make sure the Barometric pressure doesn't go over 30.00 or it could be even harder. We've had plenty of luck these past couple of weeks early around 7:30-9:00. We usually launch at Holiday Marina ($5 launch fee). It is a little past Willis Point. Best to google map it for directions. it can get a little complicated to explain on paper. Good luck and happy fishing
