I received my jigs today and I can't hardly put them down. I've never held custom jigs before and these things are awsome. Been holding off ordering a vise and some material for lack of knowing much about it. The detailed material discriptions give me a lot of ideas to work with and I'm fixin to place that first order with two vises. One for me and one for my nephew who is only nine, but helps me with baits all the time, and loves to fish em as much as anybody. THANKS everyone who joined, my jigs look like a couple rocks in a pile of diamonds compared to y'alls, but I really had fun making them and my nephew and I actually caught some crappie and bass on them on the Neches river near Beaumont. Nothing better than catching fish on homemade baits in my book.

1442 you are too humble. The Clam Shoe will be a killer in my area especially this spring and Lo Lo will be a slab slayer when the fish are on the shad and minnows. Teach the nephew...he will be forever grateful and keep making jigs I love your style!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need some of that wig hair..where did it come from?

NNN The wig hair came from a Veronica halloween wig I found at a garage sale a couple months ago. I had a lot of fun and created a lot of laughter wearing the wig a few times. Then I saw the jig swap with black hair and thought to myself, I've got a wig, I'm getting in on this one. I will gladly send you some of this wig hair, there is more than I will ever use on it as it is some long hair. Pm me your address and I will get it to you. and Thanks for the positive feedback towards the jigs I tied. The crane feathers I used on the Lo Lo jig came from a rescue job that my nephew and I performed on a large crane. The crane had gotten a six pack wrapper lodged over his head and tangled in his beak to where he couldn't lift his head or close his beak. After getting him cut loose and all there was a plug of neck feathers layimg on the deck and I saved them.
