Have been helping son with his set-up on 05 520 Ranger with 05 225 Merc DFI..was running re-worked 25p tempest plus..68.3 MPH @ 5500 RPM'S two people loaded..went to 25p Fury out of the bx, 72.7 MPH @ 5700 RPM'S Both speeds were GPS, AND 3 1/2 inches below pad...tremendous hole shot...question? has anyone ever shortened the barrel on one of these props, and with the weight of the Ranger..would it help? and..if he hits a big wave just right, it will bump the limiter at 5750..just wondering if this would work on the heavier hulls? This is probably all we are going to get?
