I bought some jigs from Walmart the other night. I really like the purple ones. What other colors should I get?

Let's see, that old saying is: The first tap you feel is the crappie. The second tap is me tapping you on the shoulder saying, "Hey, you just missed that crappie."

Tom H. has a 2' rod that he puts a 4 oz. jig on, this should be about right for you nuts.

What, isn't there nothing to do in Guntersville?

Good Luck in Guntersville, by the way

Tie the jig straight to the line. Jig fishing is more fun than with minnows for me. Also you normally get a better hook set with jigs because they get hooked in the tough part of the mouth with jigs and in the soft part on the side with minnows or that's what I've been told by the local guides. Good luck!
