Marking waypoints as your making a trail you should be able to hit the enter icon button and select your icon then it will leave a waypoint.

Does anyone one know why it wouldn't do that? I bring it up as I am navigating or making a trial, hit the button, the icons come up and let's me select an icon, then it will not display anything after that?

But I can go through the WPT and do it, just takes longer!

WPT-WPT will mark it, you may need to hit enter after you select the icon.

icon are different the wpts in the lcx models. there just quick reference. wpt are hard point, where you can nav. back to them by using the nav. steer screen. if you want save wpts like stated about double click wpt. then if want change symbol of the wpt. go into your wpts and into one your wpts and edit. then change the symbol.

I have had this unit since 2008 and I was marking waypoints running down the lake on pad just by hitting enter twice,I have been doing that forever, finally I started entering exact coordinates over the last six months and realized one day it was not working anymore. I have no clue what the heck happen but it just stop working?

I do know how to use the WPT format to enter waypoints, just figured their is some thing simple I need to correct?
