Has any one done any bass fishing from a center console bay boat. Is it much more difficult than fishing out of a bass boat.

I regularly fish for LMB out of my center console. I have an 18' Nitro, and it is just as easy to fish it in the sticks as it was my dads 21' super pro craft bass boat. I think the only disadvantage is the bay boat gets blown around easier, but if your fishing coves and out of the way places, that really isn't a factor.

I agree with Boston Bob...but I only fish for LMB during the spring when my wife makes me take her.

I also get back in the trees and crappie fish and I have done some dock shooting from it -- I get some real funny looks from other boats doing that smile

I am mostly stripers, hybrids and white bass fishing. Bay Stealth 2230.

Our boston whaler seems to do just fine. I fish off my friend's ranger all the time also and although the ranger definitely has some more bells and whistles, they both seem to get the job done.

perfect, would NEVER buy a bassboat to go LMB fishing!.......... see my web site below for best boat money can buy.... www.wingsoverusa.com/boat.htm

Can't beat a CC design boat for fishability. smile It has all the advantages of a bassboat, plus easy cleanup, safer in rough water. Put a trolling motor on the front and cast off the front deck just like a bassboat. Just my 2 cents worth. smile

A bad day fishin' is still better than work!
That's BOATMAN1 with the blue hat on! BUT the BOAT is fake!

I have fished out of a center console for various type of fish also. It will work just fine and like boatman1 suggested if you put a trolling motor up front you can take it just about were you want it depending on water depth. The only disadvantage that I have found is on some lakes there will be low bridges that have lots of fishable water on the other side that you will not be able to get to unless you trailer your boat to a different ramp.

I have fished in several bass tournaments out of our Hydra Sport CC befroe we sold it. The only disadvantages were that it was hard to fish offshore structure when the wind was blowing and it was kind of hard to flip out of. Depends on how your deck is setup, our boat was older, but I solved this problem by standing next to where the troll motor was mounted. I sure did enjoy the ride back to weigh in when the wind was howling, always felt safe. But I would definately buy a bass boat over a CC.
