I believe they are going to stop carrying it, also. I went to both Lewisville stores last week looking for some and neither had it.

CatfishingTexas, have you tried using it in the lake or river?

My two gallons of fillets that are getting ready to be put in the freezer say it works very well. That is okay. It leaves more of it for Jason and Kevin to buy.

Ive done well with Danny K's at Squaw Creek and Weatherford on channel cats--stays on the hook better than stink bait.

There is still plenty here and it is at full price. It may have been some "aged" inventory they were clearing out if it was not selling well in your area.

well to me stink bait is the stuff you roll a spong hook in and have to reapply ever 10 minutes. DK's is more like dough bait and stays on for a good while

just my opinion:
A dip bait (mostly cheese) is used with a sponge hook or tube.
Stink Bait or Dough bait (Mostly, brains, blood, cheese, and fish parts) is used on a bare trebble hook.
No arguments here.

One day on RR I had my fishing buddy with me for some catfish-n. We decided to fish scientifically...so we thought.

We had baited out our honey hole and now we were going to use side by side (4) rods...4 differnet baits and see if indeed the bait did make a difference.

We used Danny Kings and Mr Whiskers punch bait. These are similar.

And we used Mr Bills and Killer Catfish dip baits.

Yes, the DK and MW stays on the hook longer. True.

Yes, Mr B and CK dip baits need rebaiting about every 5 minutes.

On this particualr day, ol Mr Bills dip bait whipped em all...hands down.

We even tried rotating the position of the rods in the boat.

We found that interesting so the next time we went back to our honey hole...(same one mind you) we tried our experiment again...to see if the validity would hold up.

Sure enough, it failed. This time, Killer catfish Bait was best...hands down.

My partner has since died, sadly, but true, but I do recall that for us, the dip baits outperformed the punch baits.....but that is not to say that you cannot catch your limits on DK's or MrWhiskers...cuz, I have done that too.

So go figure. Take both kinds. Enjoy.

What I really thinks make the real difference is the amount of rods/baits you have in the water when tied up between two trees or anchored down fishing. The mroe baits, the more smell, the more fish......and one other thing.....dont' over chum your spot.!!!
