hey guys, i have a bryant furnace that will not turn on and its giving a code 21. any ideas? maybe someone to call in the lavon area? thanks..

I think the 21 code is "gas valve failed to open."

There should be a list of the codes on the door panel. If this is the error, then the unit prob went into lockout safety mode. Since the unit tried to light but failed it will shut it's self down in seconds and go into the lockout mode. Needs to be reset from a button or kill the power to the unit for a short time.

Either way but the unit will continue to go into lockout. The valve could have failed mechanically or electrically. Best bet is find someone locally that could help you out or walk you through the trouble-shooting. Good luck.
