I was crappie fishing on Ray Robets yesterday and caught a channel cat in 24 feet of water that was
full of eggs, looked about ready to spawn. I thought catfish had spawned out by now but this could mean they are about to start. maybe it has to do with all the wet and cool weather we've had
this summer. FWIW... confused

I've caught catfish in a friends pond in the winter that were full of eggs.

Not all fish spawn at the same time, so this is not that incommon. Some fish also retain their eggs so catching fish with eggs at different times of the year is pretty normal.
