Bill G: A keeper channel is pretty small, 10 to 12 inches depending on the lake, so it could be he's telling it like it is. laugh laugh laugh

Going to hit up the wall on thursday. From the first boat ramp to the wall in a kayak. I know of a few people who fish kayaks out there. Any body been to brauning lately? Caught some reds off dead tree point in about 4ft of water in the heat of the day.

P. Hinds, I am not familiar with the "old deep bridges." Where abouts on Calaveras would they be? Gonna try my luck again tomorrow. Hopefully I can find some cats. If ya'll got any advice on where to try just lemme know.

I went to Calv Thursday. Got there at 7 am fished till 10 am. Did not even get a bite. I could not beleive it as I can usually get at least a couple cats. I was using DK punch bait also night crawlers and that Charley blood bait B. I did see every one at the crappie wall. I hope they were able to do some good. See you all. Keeper

Tough going this morning for George and I. Caught 7, mostly off the windy rip-rap. Then the wind got so strong we headed in.

Hey Keeper,

I got the motor tuned up, new impeller, all that. I fixed the starting problem a while ago. It was air in the fuel line. Now she runs good, but I am in the process of stripping the carpet out and putting in a liner, sorta like a Durabak or Rhino or something, but white. I will be fishing there soon though, probably not this week unless you are offering me a trip in your boat laugh

Caught a couple last week drifting live talapia. Overall the bite was pretty slow. Took home 4 keepers with the biggest going about 5lbs. Man was it hot but at least there was a breeze. Gonna try my luck again Wednesday. hopefully I can figure out how to post the pics...

My son and I went to Calaveras Saturday. We caught 23 using DK's and liver, but they were small (1 to 2 pounds). Some guys came to the fish cleaning station with 7, but they were all in the 4 to 5 pound range. They said they were using live tilapia.

Went Sunday fished the wall for a few hours and nothing was hitting. Caught around 6 cats using liver and tilapia.
