First off, HOLY cow nice fish...on the fly even your a f-ing king!

Second, Scouser I understand the train of thought...amazing fish grass carp and they are very good at what they do...so good they will destroy a fishery.

We have worked hard to build a relationship with TPWD and to help educate the general angling public on the difference between white amur and common carp..white amur destroy bass fishery's and commons do not....but people just hear CARP and think bad...the more we do to help educate the public on the stark difference of the species the better off we as common carp and native buffalo anglers we will be...and that includes taking a strong stance on the removal of fish that don't belong in a water body.

SORRY to derail the topic...I would have sent a PM scouser, but its good info for everyone.

Totally understood. Just don't think I could bring myself to do it. I'm not advocating that anyone breaks the regs.

Very cool catch!

I exercised my casting arm a lot last month trying to get one on a fly! Of course it was Clouser month so it was on a clouser, but still, they didn't seem to have any interest.

Maybe my scales are wrong. Is this the way fishing stories start?

I am new to sight fishing for carp. I did not know grass carp don't take to many flies.
