....bring me some luck every once in a while. My friend and I have been fishing at night out on hubbard for the last, well who knows how long we have been fishing there. We always end up off of dalrock out at r. park, but needless to say ol' roberts park isnt producing for me these days.
We decided to try to fish the deeper water. We launched at texas queen and went on down to chandlers and then drifted back. NOTHING! Absolutely nothing. I have no clue what I am doing wrong. Do you guys have any tips or other places that I could go to. This fishing drought is making me sad. thank you all

Brett, try further south. Out from the mouth of Rush Creek. They haven't been huge, but plenty of action

21' to 28' was the key, any deeper and the bite trailed off. Keep a sandbass rod handy, cause their likely to blow up anytime.

Hey Flex, Where at John Paul Jones do you fish? Never been over there but on the mapsco that park looks like it covers a lot of shore line. I've went out to Barnes Bridge park( think that's the name)just south of the power plant, the last 3 Sat night's and didn't catch nothing but lil uns. lot of people there but didn't see anyone catching anything.

Also john paul jones park has a nice sidewalk running next to the bank and 3 piers I believe.Ideal spot for a family . No rocks to slip off of See u guys and girls out there

simple trick/tip to the Catfish at jones park is chum,and sparing but hourly use till the shallows really heat up along with the daily temp!
The art of wearing out the Sunfish is using insects and larave...IE, Crickets ,Mealworms etc...walk the entire wall looking for deeper little pockets around rocks and down timber.
You can see msot spots from the wall.
I have 3 such spots I hit all within a 100yds yds of each other.

fishfry ive been using chicken liver the havent been hitting on worm everybody sitting down there next to me were wondering if i hit a honey hole but if fish in more than one spot they just like that chicken liver

yea you will get a bite and then pull up. u will be hung up a lot
