Nothing like fishing a big tournament with 700 other boats... What do y'all think about this?

I think that FLW stopped looking at anything except their own date book many years ago. It is evident by the constant migration of anglers to other circuits and so on. They are so far up in their ivory tower, they can't even see the grass roots fishermen that gave them birth.
Their are so many conflicts(and countless other issues) like you mention here that you could not possibly print them all. Look what they are doing to the college guys this week at Rayburn....Media Championship on the books for over a year. They scheduled the college guys months atfter Media. I hate it for the fishermen that feel they have to put up with that stuff.
I migrated away with many others a couple years ago.

I agree with all BB2 said plus those college kids are going to have to transport those fish over 100 miles a day- where did common sense go - opps I figured it out - common sense is gone for the almighty ,never caring dollar- hum- does this sound firmilar to our governments actions- if it helps me or my association ,forget the average Joe- use him and abuse him and make him think that he is the one wrong for thinking like that

Wow BB2Fan. That was pretty critical. I'm betting that you never tried to organize and schedule hundreds of tournaments over the course of one year and guarantee that they don't conflict with any other events and make every angler happy. I know most of the people at FLW and their tower is anything but ivory. Most are scared to death that they are next to lose their job. Cut them a little slack. WEC, FLW never claimed to be a not for profit organization. I forgot, how much are those entry fees for the college tournament? I've happily volunteered my time and boat for the college kids and I'm certain they are appreciative of all of FLW's efforts. Also, the table is equal for everyone fishing along with the 700 other boats so is it a tournament or a fishing trip. A win is a win wether you weigh in 20 pounds or 2. Just my two cents.

FLW is scheduling way out more than a year. Actually the other tournaments were scheduled on top of them. How about the responsibility of the lakes???? If they know they have 200 boat tournament coming on that weekend, why would they accept another 500 boat tournament?? Its because it brings in money for those around the lake! Those making the money around the lake would probably like a 700 boat event every weekend. Just my 2 cents

Tebam11 is right. FLW set their dates a long, long, long time ago. I had the dates a long time ago. So, it would appear the Oilman's set their date on the same day and didn't know the FLW dates either. It's extremely hard to find a date that something doesn't interfere with. I know, I have to do it each year.

Did FLW not know that carring fish 100 miles for a weigh in , (while they have a new previon on the site), is not for the betterment of the sport, now or two years in advance- they don't care it's all about their agenda !!!

This might be interesting, the oil mans do not allow their anglers to launch from the pavillion, but they do have to weigh in their. If any one has ever seen the cluster at the oil mans weigh in, they would know that their is no way two events can be held out of that location. I bet it was just an oversite on behalf of the state park and they will get it fixed. If not I will have a great time doing video's. The FLW event is held out of fin-and-feather....
