I just started cat fishing at Alan Henry and do not have the slightest idea where to fish. I've bought some Sure Shot from Benny and have some jugline soap coming. If any one could give me some hints on where to fish and put out some jugs I sure would appreciate it.

From the Texas Lakes and Bays Fishing Atlas
For catfish on Alan Henry #1. Big Grape Creek #2. Big Grape Creek (middle) #3. Public Boat Launch and Crappie Dock #4. Ince Cove
Best baits are Live minnows, live perch, shrimp, and stinkbait.
Best fishing in the summertime is after dark.

Have you used the 'Search Feature'. I know that I have asked and had answered this question. Not many folks fish kittes at AH or at least they do not talk much. Really, not much talk about AH at ALL! Do not know if they do not talk or the Lubbock area guys are just tight holing us, but whatever not much gets out. Have you tried Capitian Mike at the Alan Henry site?

Thanks guys. I think I've got all the ammunition. Grain, Stink bait, jug bait, etc. I just need a starting point. I'll try the search thing and see what happens. Yeah, I think most of the AH fishermen are pretty tight lipped. Anyways, thanks for your help.

Both my brothers live in Lubbock and neither of them were not aware of the TFF, until I told them. All my ol' fishing buddies I had when I left Lubbock had never heard of this site either. I know the majority of users of this site are from the DFW area, judging by the posts. It is usually the crappie and bass perople that are tight lipped about their honey holes. Us catfishermen are a close knit group who are always willing to help another "kittykatcher" out.

When I worked in Post, the locals had a catfish fry every weekend from AH. They would only say, "near the dam" I asked where? "on our dam trot lines"... I gave up.

Kikr is one of my brothers that live in Lubbock. He and I started fishing that lake before the boat ramp was even built. Unfortunately, when I left Lubbock, so did my boat. So if one of you guys are looking for a fishing partner who knows LAH fairly well, shoot him an email and ask him to come along. ps. Kikr, I don't know if you can buy Danny King's puch bait in the Lubbock area, but I am tearing them up on it here at Lake Lewisville.

Follow the dam around to the right till you get to the dirt spillway . There are so good cat fish. there and some deep bass spawning flats. Look for a large tree line with flats on both sides with you electronics in about 15 to 20 feet of water.

You can buy Danny King's punch bait in Lubbock at Fisherman's Headquarters on east 50th St also at the Buffalo Lake Gas Station/bait shop.
