I need some help with a good grilled shrimp recipe Ingredients, size, time on grill ect. I like Red Lobsters grilled shrimp very well and have tried to duplicate it but so far i just can't get it right. So far i have tried garlic, butter, parmesan cheese but have never been totaly satisfied with the outcome. Can somebody help? Also i might mention about the only place for me to get shrimp is at Walmart previously frozen to boot I have tried both the cooked and uncooked Is it possible to make the precooked taste like what i am after? Thanks in advance. Chuck

Raw, peel it yourself and don't use anything small than 21-25. That size is pushing it. smaller shrimp will overcook and dry out fast. Precooked and peeled has a lot of it flavor gone already. Brine shrimp prior to cooking unless you are just boiling it.
1 1/2 cup regular table salt 2 lbs shrimp
Boil 2 cups water and add salt to desolve. Cool to room temp. Add 3 1/2 cups ice water and shrimp with peel still on. Let it stand 25 minutes. Drain rinse and peel.
1 clove garlic 1 tsp salt 1/2 cayenne pepper 2 Tbsp olive oil 2 tsp lemon juice
Mash garlic with salt with a knife blade until it forn a paste. Add dry ingredients and mix. Add oil and juice to form a thin paste. Toss shrimp in and let marinate up to 30-45 minutes. Thread shrimp on skewers and grill 2-3 minutes per side. Skewer shrimp thru rear tail section and thru the top thick meaty part. Shrimp can be turned easily and won't spin aroung on the stick. Serve hot or room temp with lemon wedges

That sounds good !
My restaurant owner friend uses Viva Italian dressing, BBQ sauce and a little Lawry's season salt on his shrimp. He lets it soak for a few minutes in the fridge like that. Tosses them on a hot grill just long enough to turn them red and maybe a little burnt spot on the tail. Me...I like fresh squeezed lime juice on most any grilled seafood.
Now, Donald...please pick John Bolton for your running mate.

Salt, pepper, olive oil and some red wine vinegar. Toss in some whole shrimp and marinate for a couple of hours. Throw on grill and cook. Serve with some roasted corn, poblano, onion, and garlic salad.
