It's going to be a small group of Carpers - not dancing to any 'official fiddle'. Don't have to be anything but enthusiastic to be there -- and just enjoy good company. I'm very pleased Jim will be coming down - as he's personally a good friend, a veteran of many long sessions throughout the country - and most of all -- one of the nicest guys I've ever had the pleasure to meet and fish with. Our few years 'long session' fishing Emma and then the ATC are sincerely my fondest recent fishing memories. His irrepressibly youthful approach to his fishing totally belies his age, and his Carolinian humour is a constant reminder of what this is all supposed to be about -- having good clean fun with other like minded folks -- untainted by any bad feelings or politics. In simple words - FISHING. Anyone 'on the fence' about attending might want to reconsider --- if nothing else to just meet Jim, and share a little bank time with one of our finest 'old timers' still actively fishing today. He'll share anything and everything he has - even give you the shirt off his back to make the experience better for all -- what a Class Act!! I have some great friends -- and am so very proud to call Jim just that - a great friend. One of the last true gentleman from a sadly, rapidly decaying era of Carp fishing that we both hold so dear to our hearts. NO BAD FEELINGS/POLITICS NEEDED FOR THIS SESSION -- JUST GOOD VIBES!! Don't be shy about bringing an extra 'Tot of Tito's' to share -- as he doesn't mind sharing the odd glass of cheer If nothing else - it will be great spending time with my old mate, other friends - and meeting some new 'faces'. I'm sincerely looking forward to it

I wish I could make both events. I know the guys attending on the 13th are out for a good time, as are the guys the following week.
I encourage everyone who can to make their way to either one, whichever fits best in your schedule; Both to the lucky few who can do it.
Good Luck to the 13th Crew, and to us on the 20th- Let's all catch a ton!
As for meeting Jim- Yep, he's truly One to Know. He knows how to handle himself- Never any under-handed jabs at folks he disagrees with, and he listens to the other side and gives them credit when he is having a discussion. He knows alot about Carp Fishing, but won't admit it.
Y'all have fun on the 13th; we'll do our part on the 20th. We'll all catch fish.
See you there!
Chad

Remember the ATC/TCC lead up? A number of us were in Austin every weekend for what 2 months? Then 10 days on the bank for Donny and I. Man what I wouldn't give to do that again. That said I am surprised I am still married. Lots to be said for a woman that supports your stupidity! Cheers to Carp angler widows.. I mean wives..

Is anyone planning on taking a boat? It might be very handy - for getting bait out - and possibly getting fish out of the weeds. I have a small inflatable I can bring if needed? Are we just going to all do our own thing regarding baiting -- or perhaps make a 'freebie pool' that can be boated out?

I'm going to try to bring my boat, but it all depends on how much work I can get done on it.

I'm thinking about brining my kayak...not much room for cargo/bait, though, maybe one bucket.
oop! My bad; I'll be there the weekend before!
