I'm sure Kent will be along at some point this evening. He's got a bunch of schoolwork to catch up on first. Couple days of practice plus the tourney means you gotta pay up when it's over!
Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

Yep I can tell you for sure Momma is in charge now that he is home! He will be studying for a while. LOL Kent is a very mature young man and has talents I can only wish I had and I have been Bass fishing for a lot of years. He has worked very hard honeing his skills, hours of casting out on the pond left and right handed. Fished a tourney on Caddo with him early the month when the wind forced us to fish a tree line from the wrong direction and I was having fits gettin the bait in between tight trees Kent just switched over and cast left handed and had no problems fitting the crank and LFT tube in the tight spots we were trying to fish, and of the 5 we weighed in He caught 4. (of course he front ended me all day) LOL! Just kidding Kent! I will fish with you anytime Uncle Bubba

Wow thanks everyone for all of the nice words!
The only thing that I have to correct is when Fouzman (Mr. Chris) said I did it with no help. That part is not true. It is true that no one put me on those fish, but it is not true that I havent had help. I think I have had more help and encouragement than anyone on the planet. I wont start naming names, because I know that I would forget some. All I can say is that as soon as I started fishing tournaments seriously every tournament fisherman I have been in contact with has been nothing but help and encouragement.
I want to start out by saying thanks to everyone at the tournament. Everybody I talked to was very supportive and encouraging.
Well during practice I was catching a good number of quality fish under and out from docks on main lake points on the North end of the lake on a variety of baits, including shallow-medium diving crankbaits, shakey heads and LFT hyper-sticks. But my best fish were all coming off of either a MPack Jig or a Phenix(thats how they spell it) Vibrating Jig, both with a 3-1/2 Live Magic Shad for a trailer. I could not get bit swimming either without that trailer.
Well as is the rule for all tournaments, come tournament day the conditions changed drastically and the main lake fish seemed to be non existent. I think the giant waves may have just washed them all up on the bank. Lol. I had hoped to run up north and fish, but with the wind I decided to stay closer.
When I couldnt catch them like I did in practice I simply started at the mouth of the major creeks and worked my way in. The wind was tough especially Sunday, even up in the pockets, but it was really tough the closer you got to the main lake. But I knew that all my better fish in practice were on the main lake, so I knew if I was going to catch the better ones I had better start there.
It seemed I caught fish from the mouth of the pockets all the way back, but the better fish just seemed to be closer to the main lake, so as soon as I figured this out I spent almost all of my time looking for and fishing these types of areas.
If I had it to do over again I dont know what I would do different. My only regret is on the second day I did have a good one that would have won it for me hit right at the boat. I had it on for a couple of seconds and then it pulled off. But I am sure half of the guys in the tournament had that happen to them, so it all evens out.
Thanks for everything,
Kent
