Its like a structure scan to me, not really needed, but can make fishing a lot easier. Exactly. It's like any other tool; you may not use it all the time, but when you do it can make all the difference in the world. I'd like to have one.

i dont have one, but want one bad and its not just for shallow water. I know people that stick them d0wn into flooded trees out in deep water to hold themselves on wooded structure.
I think they are a great way to help us become better fisherman. will have one or two on my skeeter one day.
The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. ~John Buchan

It will hold in 30mph winds. I was on hubbard creek with 45mph winds and it held steady.

The best three purchases that I have made in my life were Lasik eye surgery, breast augmentation(not on me) and my power pole. Got any pics?

They make your buddy at the back of the boat happy. Like dodging a light only bigger!!! Haha!! When the buddy in the back of the boat is helping make a boat payment or buys me the boat I'll worry about him a little bit more. +1

Got one...had it less than a month. I will never own a boat without one again. Next one will have two.
You find all kinds of way's to use the pole's. The more you use it the more structure your able to cover. Can make you a better fisherman...

A powerpole is kind of like four wheel drive on a truck. When you need it there is nothing else that can do the job as well.

I bet they would be great and make things alot easier but they are not worth what they cost. If they were in the $200-$300 range i would have one but for as much as they cost, i use my trolling motor or tie to a tree.
