I have heard many opinions on this topic. What do you guys like to use this time of year, as far as the size of crankbaits? If you have a suggestion of style that would help too.

I use the Rapala DT series, and this time of year, I use 10 foot or less.

Just adjust it to the average size of the baitfish you are seeing at that particular moment.

Very important fact! I also like to have several tied on that cover the entire water column. Vary your retrieve until you find what they want, some days fast, some days slow and some days paused.


Stress less, relax more. Go fishing.
