I bought blood straight from the web site. I used it this past Sunday and had zero bites. Fact was the water was dead, zero activity.

My post is actually about my friends reacting to Danny Kings blood bait. They said that it looked like what would happen is bubble gum and Sh*& got married. They called the product bubble Sh*&!!

Had there of been catfish within a mile I think we would have done good, but nonetheless it was a funny trip.

What was the water temp like? Ol' Dannys stuff will catch em up near the rocks when the temperature gets a little warmer.

Ok you guys. Try this next time and you'll get some bites.

1. First of all, go to your local feed store and get 1 50# bag of wheat. (grain)

Fill a 5 gallon bucket 2/3 full of grain, rest water and let it sit in the sun. W/ the weather we are having now, it will take about 10 days to sour.

2. Get to the rocks at sun-up. Rocks on a dam or rocks near a bridge. They need to be rip-rap style rocks....not pebbles. Cloud cover is best. Morning hours till 10a.m. are best and then 2 hours before dark. These are channel cat your catching to 5lbs.

3. Rig w/ a cork. Put a non-weighted cork 30 inches above a 4x treble hook. Take a 1/2 oz worm weight and crimp it on 14" above your treble.

4. Throw grain 5-10ft off bank. Fish over your grain...sometimes takes 20 minutes to bring in fish.

I've never fished this way and not caught fish.

Riprap I prefer to fish:

Dam at Tawokoni
Dam at Cedar Creek and spillway
...any will work.

I have never had any issues with DK. I do prefer fresh shad over anything though.

Also, won't yeast speed up the process on souring the wheat? I think I used to use it when souring grain.

I too tried punch bait for the first time and i pulled a fish out every 15 - 20 min for about an hour then i moved to another spot and got some bigger ones but the stuff really does work, though we thought it looked like a yellow kitty cat had been in the blender, and oh, don't get it on you, geez, but i had awesome luck with it.
