Is this the real Danny King's they have at wally world or is this some clowns knockoff of a good bait? It says Kingston, Oklahoma on it but I could have sworn that you couldn't get anything sold in that store unless you could supply the whole chain with the product. Maybe something special like this can just get put in stores in that region. I don't know.Reason I ask is i have seen it there and it don't stink like the gallons I used to buy. Several people have bought it there(wal-marts in Hillsboro and Waco) and it just doesn't seem the same, I know dang well they don't smell like it. They only sell the pint here and I aint gonna waste my money on that little bit and would like to find the gallons somewhere close to me but have not had any luck finding it.
I have a gallon of SureShot already so no need to suggest going to that instead. Need both.

JSteve, I feel the same way It seems Danny changed his formula to a less course material when he made that jump, I havent seen a piece of shad in it in a long time. Hope he hasnt surcumbed to the big dogs......

I guess when ya supply the big boys, ya got to cut corners. I remember some fella that made some King's punch bait and people were thinking this was Dany King's. Thought maybe the same guy was pulling the wool over big dogs eyes. I haven't bought any from wallyworld but ones that have say that it doesn't stay on the hook like the old stuff and that they can only get the "blood" flavored. I liked the original.

Yeah, it always worked for me too but this **** in our wallyworld don't even stink, at least not like it used to. Heck, after I had opened it up and then closed it and put it back on the shelf, a couple came around the isle they didn't even look at me like I farted. That shows me it aint got enough stink.

Steve ,At the local wallys were I first started bying the tiny sizes..I had no such experiences. I dont by the tiny size either anymore..but the color and texture and such all matched the the large 7lb.8oz tubs I get from the local fishermans supply. This is the Blood forumala mind you. I have used only one of the orinal forumula,I like bait with blood myself. It says on there website that color and such may vary....why not just give them a email direct or a call. As for Sureshot...I simply havent seen any on my end of town so if its not DKs Im using, and thats rare,Ill be using MBs Premo Super Sticky Blood formula dip bait on sponge(pain in the butt but it worked really well during spawn and was less than $4 per 20oz).

I've noticed that the DK blood formula looks pink now whereas it used to be more red. I'm still happy with its effectiveness but I suspect that Danny may have tweaked the formula to accommodate the additional demand brought on by Wally-World?

Walmart and all the big retailers walk in and tell you what they're gonna pay for a product and you gotta figure out how to give it to em.
Just buy it at a local tackle store, they need the business more anyhow!!!!

Markit, . Reminds me of the Cheech & Chong skit: Smell! Smell like dogsh&*? Yeah, smells like dogsh&*. Taste! Taste like dogsh&*? Yeah, tastes like dogsh&*. Color don't bother me. Hardly any smell does and from some that say it didn't stay on the treble, then somethings not right cause I could hardly ever get the stuff off of my trebles. If I could find a baitstore around where they had the gallons I would buy it, that's the dang problem.

No guys this bait is the same bait that has been used for years . All the same goodies are also used . Danny King and I use the same bait when we fish ACATS tournament trail .. Danny does not sell the bait to Walmart .He sells it to other people that sells to walmart .. As far as larger containers your bait shops would be the best source for this . 1 gallon --- 5 gallon or you can go to dannykingbait.com . THERE IS NO SHORT CUTS ..

I never buy less than a gallon at a time. I've never seen a bucket larger than a gallon.

Like spil1 said it comes from a vendor. Maurice if you want to name names. I think they also provide merchandise for some of the big sporting goods stores too.
