FrogToggs.....Keep you dry when its wet and warm when it's cold. My son and I were given a set each for Christmas and put them to use in a tournament in January. 26 degrees starting off and did not get much better from there. Although the tournamnet weather sucked, the only thing that was cold were my hands and feet. The FrogToggs kept the rest warm and the wind at bay.

The gortex is the way to go.

Watch Cabelas. They have in the past put there Guidewear on sale here pretty soon. Save you some $. Got mine last year around November and saved probably $150.

Yeah, watch for the sales.
I think I bought mine on sale in Jan/Feb last year. Saved $80-$100 on the parka.

Cabelas will put their ski gear on sale before long. Same gear just different category name. I bought a set year before last for about half price $80 bucks(Columbia brand). The colors may be a little wild but you can get some great gear at a discount greater than the fishing stuff on sale.

When in doubt, jerk.

Columbia makes a lot of different ones. I have BPS100 from 2003(parka not bibs) and Frog Toggs(ripped seam), and tried on a several brands to see what was best for me. As far a preformance Columbia has a product line that is as good as any. They look sweet too.
+1 on the ski gear. My bibs came from a Ski shop off Hulen. They were on clearance, have so many features and are easy to move in.

Bass fishing is like a 30,000 acre golf course with no flags and five holes you can't see- Tim

I have several rain suits. Tried to get by cheap. That does not work. The only way to save money and stay dry is if they put the Cabelas Guide wear or Bass Pro 100 mph suit on sale. Frog togs are for summer only for me. I have been very wet wearing the frog toggs.

Cabelas Guidewear and BPS 100 MPH are both cadillacs of rain wear

frog toggs suck!!!!!!!!!! they have leaked on me twice, so i keep them in the truck for my wet feet when i get done loading the boat or when my butt is wet from a rainy day on the lake. People who say that frog toggs are great, have not used them when it is pouring rain. I have a rain suit that you cannot buy, it was issued to me when i was in the coast guard, it is made by MUSTANG, and is very expensive, so i try to take care of it
