Hey I thought I would post this article I found. Apparently the picture of the 2 guys holding a monster cat not only wasn't verified, but it wasn't even caught in the U.S. Below is the article with a link to the actual article (with a picture of the fish and game warden).

That's a Wels Catfish from Europe

I must have had to set 20 people straight about that picture of those two guys not being from the USA, the fish either...then I send them a real picture of the real Texoma record catfish with three guys holding it.

i think theres been about 10 posts this year about a wels cat (prolly from spain) being caught in the US....

Personally I think if someone actually thought that fish was caught in Texas either didn't look very closely at the picture or haven't been fishing in way too long.

The Wels (eelfish ) catfish looks nothing like a blue! The head is sorta like a big yellow but thats about as close as it gets.
