Hey Guys, Just a little report for the weekend. I se tout 10 juglines this weekend in Somerville and only caught one fish. Acoording to bathroom scales and a little math it weighed 43 lbs. We pulled them up today with no more fish. This is my best bluecat ever but that lake is not so great. I miss my LP!!!

Somerville got knocked back a bit with last weeks cold weather. I had a couple fishing on Tuesday in the fog and we boated 35 channel cats 2-4#...then a couple on Wednesday(even more fog than Tuesday) and caught 32 cats 2-3# size. Warm weather this week will put them back on track probably.
43# is one nice blue cat ScooterG, I did the same thing with jugs one time. Set out 50 jugs and caught one fish, 45#...it happens that way sometime.

What depth structure are you looking for to find those channels at Somerville?

Thats crazy about the jug thing. I don't understand this lake too well. I must be fishing the wrong areas. I have a buddy that I fish with and he lives by Kavosovic's store which is closest to Birch Creek ST Park. We usually put in there and since my boat is more of a river boat(25 hp) I don't like to run too far. I have never tried the area across the lake from Snake Island but it looks more like what I am used to fishing (Lake Palestine). We'll have to give that area a try when it warms up a little. Mr. Kirk, how do you post the pictures? I would if I could figure it out. We got this fish in the creek channel on the NW side of the island. We marked tons of bait fish and dropoffs so I decided to put the jugs there. We didn't hardly lose any of the 3.5" perch we were using. Who knows?

Here is kind of how it is done...I do not go to UIL in properties because it has UIL listed right below the picture in Photobucket.com... Photobucket automatically resizes pictures...
BEST WAY 1. Go to photobucket.com and get registered. It is free.
2. Resize your photo to 640x480 or something close to that.
3. Login to your photobucket account and post your photos
4. Click on your posted photo in your photobucket album
5. Right click on the full size view and select properties
6. Highlight the Address (URL), right click and select COPY
7. Go to the Photogallery on WK and select new discussion.
8. Type in your text and then select the photo button on the top right. It will prompt your to enter the URL address of your photo.
9. Paste the Address URL you copied in step 6.
10. CLick OK
11. Click on POST NOW.
