Humminbird more user friendly. Lowrance more apps and better map detail and sonar.

Humminbird more user friendly. Lowrance more apps and better map detail and sonar. I have HDS 10, HDS 8, & Hum 1197 on my rig. I agree 100%

Humminbird more user friendly. Lowrance more apps and better map detail and sonar. And because of that lowrances processor is slower.

What is the most popular or best package to chose on the HDS? They offer 3.

I used both and decided 1197. It was pretty much a tossup to me but the HB came in at a cheaper price point.

What will the 1198 have over the 1197? Faster processor is all I have heard. I also heard that the update you can download onto the 1197 will have the same features as the 1198....All rumors so well see.
