Evidently, Arkansas doesn't require a title on the motor. How hard will it be to get a Texas title on it? It's an 80's model sprint with a 135 Johnson.
Is the title a deal killer?
Thanks!

Ive bought 2 boats(used) from ARK, both had Ark titles on boats and motors, just one extra TPW form needed to transfer to Tex.

Print all the forms off the TPWD website, make sure you get the seller to sign ALL the forms, for the trailer get a seperate bill of sale signed and notarized and you will be good to go. Have seller break the price up between motor, boat and trailer on all the copies as well.

LSUfan is correct! I did 2 Ark to Tex registrations(2years apart) with titles to boats and motors and an itemized bill of sale for the boats-motors and trailers with nothing being noterized. With no problems.

I purchased a boat in Texas that had no title on the motor. I stressed about it for ever trying to get the motor titled. Then while speaking to someone in Austin, they said it was not a big deal. They have a huge # of untitled motors in Texas. I was still able to get my registration done and use my boat for 3 years.

Get a separate bill of sale for the trailer. You can also use this lack of paper work to your advantage in negotiating the price woot
