I usually have it in place - use it to hold stuff like tools etc while working on things.
I tried to use it for a platform to hold the fish while I try to take a picture - works OK but you need to keep 1 hand on the fish at all times so sort of useless in that manner for me (I need 2 hands to take pictures - not coordinated!).

The difference between winners and losers:
Winners blame themselves for their failures and strive to get better.
Losers blame everybody else and give up.

Yeah maybe stiffening up with some kind of light pvc frame would help? It is kinda flimsy.

I have seen on some other forums where guys have taken the lids from the plastic tote containers and made ridged trays with them.
Not sure I want that - but might try it someday just to see how it works.

Yeah I need to do some more testing on the water with the stock stuff.

I like to use my stripping basket for. . . stripping my line into it, kind of like the name entails. eeks Very nice helps keep my line from tangling and getting lost in the water behind the boat.

It's more than the catfish would do.

I threw the stock apron away a long time ago and use the lid from a storage tub.

Perfect in everyway. Just drill some "drain holes" at the corners. Easy on and off and if I don't deed it, I just throw it in the back of the tube.

Friend of mine made a frame out of 1/2'' PVC. He says it helped out a lot.

I definitely need to do something like that before using it again.
