Enjoying a few days off for trout fishing and major eating. Nothing like watching an old butcher slice your ribeyes on a 60 year-old butcher table, and then grilling them while frying potatoes. 7-grain bread made in a local bakery, and some red wine. Life is good.

Tall, where are you staying? My son and I are planning a trip in November but would like to fish the Norfork for browns. We usually stay at Gastons but looking for something a little different. Looks like a great place.

I stay at Fulton's, there's good bank fishing/wading there, he's got nice boats, and the owner, Dale, has guided forever here and has good advice. It's a couple of shoals down from Gaston's, between White Hole and The Narrows.

I talked to another guy today who is staying at the lodge, he went to the Norfolk and said it was elbow-to-elbow. We boated all day, 6 hours on the water, slow fishing but fun.
