I just got back last week and posted a small report. I fished the first near kimberling city and did pretty good with for me size and number. All three types of bass caught with the biggest being a couple of 3lb fish both large and small mouth. I fished using only two lures one being 4" senko wacky. The colors were either the crawfish color, purple shad or chartruse. If there was schooling action on the top I would throw a rattletrap or crankbait.
The depth of the fish were between 5-20 feet either points or cracked rock drop offs. The less work I did the senko the better. Many fish took the bait while I had it just sitting there untanlging my sons line.
I also spent a week fishing near the dam and caught smaller fish along the rocks and found some more cracked rocks and caught a lot there.
Overall the numbers were good and size I won't complain much about because Mississippi bass fishing stinks. If you need anymore info let me know

We were at Table Rock in July. Stayed at a cabin in Shell Knob.
The lake is so clear and so beautiful. Took one day just to run the lake and see the sites. It was nice to open the motor up and just run.

We noticed that a lot of the people were fishing deep. Off of points. But, if you take the time and talk to some of the people at tackle/bait stores you will find that the most productive fishing is night. Or it was back in July. I have never seen so many bass boats out in one night.

We made our path one day and then came back and fished that night. We did pretty good for first time on the lake. Had the most fun late evenings with little perch along docks.

If you are going soon, you will have the changing of the leaves.

Good Luck and have fun.

The leaves were already changing when we were there and if you want some trout action the browns were running up taneycomo. I caught a fat 20" 3-4lb brown and saw many bigger running up to spawn.

Fished there some years ago with a guide. His secrets ( ha ha ) were to fish the end of the ramps out to 100 yards straight out...and....to use full length live night-crawlers. We let them squirm around. He hooked them ONLY in the head and I thought we'd lose them easily. Not at all. Eight very large small-mouth bass ( four for him and four for me) took them and I had a great time. Had to wait a while to set the hooks while they munched them.

I am not a live bait fisherman...but..I paid him for the day and did what he said ...it worked out great. have no idea what his name was. rich
