Our club is going to Ray Bob mid November. I have never seen
the lake and was wondering what to expect fishing wise, weather wise, is there any lodging on the lake? etc.....

Lantana Lodge on the East side of the lake is very nice- dont know the prices. There are other hotel/motels in Sanger and Pilot Point.
As for the fishing---SLOW!!!

You could get any weather in mid Nov. Lots of theories on why the lake went south... but nobody really knows.

Horsemen Motel 940.686.2256 I believe rates are under $50.00 a night or you could stay at Lantana rates prob over $80.00 a night

Fished Sunday and only managed 2 small fish We beat you on Saturday we caught 2 plus one sandbass. Lake is like a giant toilet bowl that stinks and needs to be flushed.

ditto on the two fish on sunday. one was the same size as my crankbait. glad to see i wasnt the only one. i keep beating that lake every week and its always the same. sometings gotta give.

State parks are very nice, I dont know if they have cabins are not. Fishing has been tough this summer but should get better by the time you are here. Be careful running north of wolf island, lots of trees.
